Adventure Pass temporarily shut down in 2025

Due to software issues affecting all libraries using the service, the Iowa Adventure Pass program will temporarily shut down in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can still make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. The service will return at a later time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Event Details

What's the "spark" that shaped the lives of our local leaders? Hear from a different speaker each month as they share their "Spark Story," the specific experience that sparked them to create change in the community. In addition, we’ll hear details about the work they are doing and what keeps them motivated to stay involved.

Siobhan Spain is the Director of Mainframe Studios which is slated to be the largest nonprofit art studio building in the nation. Mainframe Studios is ensuring artists are never priced out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Siobhan has over 20 years’ experience in arts administration, including managing SITE Santa Fe, the studio office of MacArthur Fellow Tom Joyce and Mary Goldman Gallery. She has served in committee and board roles for Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe, Santa Monica Museum of Art, Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines Public Art Foundation, Los Angeles Times’ foundation and Women, Food & Agriculture Network.

Siobhan will share her spark story, or what motivates her to make a difference—and what she reads to stay inspired.

Tune in on Facebook or YouTube for the premiere.
