MLK Jr. Day Closing

All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed Monday, January 17 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There will be a special Zoom event to celebrate the holiday, featuring local artist Jill Wells. Please register for that here.

This drop in adult tile coloring class will give you all the fall vibes! Our new addition of the Glowforge has allowed us to engrave 4x4" tiles with fall themed designs. You can then color your designs with permanent markers and take them home! We are providing cork backing that makes these tiles perfect fall coasters, as supplies last. Come see what our Glowforge can create for you and color some really cool coasters!

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
