All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Program Description

Event Details

Kids and caregivers! Come to the South Side Library's parking lot to see and touch the library delivery van! Visitors can learn from Doug, the library's delivery driver about how he uses the delivery van daily for his job! Afterwards, kids can view inside the van and take pictures! 

All ages welcome.  In case of rain, program will be cancelled.
