Play and Learn Program: Offers child-directed, open ended, playful learning activities designed for families to stay and play with their children ages 0 – 8 years old. Every family receives a book and a healthy snack at each session.

Health Programs: Also offers health services for all ages, hospice programs, and grief and loss programs.

Serves those with a wide range of mental health conditions including, depression, anxiety, chronic mental illness, and substance abuse.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM

Provides free, temporary, emergency shelter and services for Iowa’s homeless families with children (New Directions Shelter) as well as supportive housing for families seeking financial independence and permanent housing.

Assists families in achieving stability and economic independence by providing family support services, education and training, and opportunities for employment.

Coordinates housing assistance with public and private resources to enable assisted families to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Part of Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency.

The Food Bank of Iowa provides food to other organizations that serve Iowans in need. See "Find Food" tab on website for distribution locations.
