Counseling that provides understanding, hope and healing for grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship problems, parent-child issues, and spiritual matters. Compassionate counselors take a mind, body and spirit approach to helping individuals of all ages to live more fully. Provides counseling through insurance and/or on a sliding scale or ability-to-pay basis. Office hours 8-5 Monday-Friday, evening hours available.

Provides subsidized rentals for eligible low- and moderate-income families and individuals. Part of Municipal Housing Agency.

Provides a wide range of services to refugee and immigrant families. Connect families with community resources such as housing, healthcare, and essential needs and equip families with tools to advocate for their children, ensure their success in school, and access post-secondary education options.  

Provides a broad range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to combat Veterans and their families. All services are free of cost and are strictly confidential.

Child Care Assistance (CCA) helps pay for the care of your child while a parent or caretaker works or attends school. Also offers care for children while a parent or caretaker is looking for work or is unable to care for children because of medical reasons.

Disability Rights Iowa aims to defend and promote the human and legal rights of Iowans who have disabilities and mental illness. We promote safety, opportunity, access, and self-determination for all Iowans through a program of: Self-advocacy education, information, and referral; Non-legal advocacy; Legal and systems advocacy.

Any adult in the community who needs to improve reading, writing, and or speaking skills can enroll in this free service. Adults meet one-to-one with a volunteer tutor and/or learn with an online learning program.
