Adventure Pass temporarily shut down in 2025

Due to software issues affecting all libraries using the service, the Iowa Adventure Pass program will temporarily shut down in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can still make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. The service will return at a later time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Program Description

Event Details

Join us at Central Library for the DMPL Writer's Workshop on the first* Monday of the month from 5:30-7 PM. Share samples of your work and receive feedback from other writers in the group. 

If you would like to share your writing with the group, please attach the document in an email to Elizabeth so that copies can printed prior to the event.   

*Note: In September & December we will meet the second Monday of the month since the Library is closed on the first Monday.

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Indoor Program (2021)

This program is hosted indoors.  Please observe social distancing and follow local COVID-19 safety mandates. Hand sanitizer will be provided and staff will do their best to ensure any shared materials are disinfected between use.
