National Farmworkers' Job Program (NFJP) provides access to education services and job training, support, healthcare, legal assistance, financial education, family planning, counseling, and referrals to other agencies.

Provides free telecommunications relay services to those who have difficulty hearing and/or speaking over the telephone in the state of Iowa, including TTY, Voice Carry Over (VCO), Hearing Carry Over (HCO), Speech-to-Speech (STS), Visually Assisted Speech-to-Speech (VA STS), Spanish and CapTel®.

When you connect with Iowa Relay, a Communication Assistant (CA) will connect on the phone with you. Simply give the CA the number you wish to call and your call will be processed promptly, professionally and accurately.

Qualifying individuals can apply to receive reimbursement for their rent

A community recovery support center providing understanding, encouragement, social events and community resources to navigate recovery's challenges. We have 7 event spaces, of varying capacity, available for booking diverse programs and events promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

A Christ-centered home with programs for young moms facing unplanned pregnancies or parenting young children.

Meals: Mobile breakfast service travels to five locations around central Des Moines on Tuesday and Friday mornings year-round to serve homeless and near-homeless people.

Food Pantry: Monday-Friday 9 AM-12 PM, 1 PM-3 PM

General Assistance: Provides temporary financial assistance with rent and utility bills by appointment only.

Provides rental assistance to low-income families and elderly or disabled individuals who rent from a private landlord. Part of Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency.

Inpatient residential substance abuse treatment, including 24 hour supervision, lodging and meals.

Cost is $1000 non-refundable entry fee.
