Reading cool books, then eating hot pizza – if that conjuries up some childhood memories, you’re not alone. You were rewarded for reading with pizza as a kid – so why not as an adult, too?

The Des Moines Public Library 30x30 Challenge is back again for another year. The concept is simple – read 30 minutes a day for all 30 days in November, and you’ll be eligible to win free pizzas from Gusto Pizza Bar at the end of the month.

Taking part in the contest is easy:

  1. Hit the “Register Now” button above to head to our Beanstack page.
  2. Sign up for the 30x30 Challenge (you’ll be asked to create a free Beanstack account if you don’t have one yet. It takes just a couple minutes!)
  3. You can pre-register for the 30x30 Contest before November 1! Be sure to hit the "pre-register" button on the app or page.
  4. When you finish reading each day, mark that day as completed on your Beanstack reading log.
  5. Pro-tip: Download the Beanstack App (IOSAndroid) for easy tracking on the go.

We know our readers are busy, especially as the holidays ramp up. If you need to, you can play catchup if you fall behind. Just be sure to mark your 30-minute increments on the reading log! You’ll also be able to print a reading log to help you keep track of where you’re at when you visit the 30x30 Challenge website. To be eligible for the pizza drawing, however, you will have to complete the log on Beanstack.

Anyone who completes the challenge will be eligible for the drawing, and winners will be notified the first full week of December.
