All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Are your kids curious about the big yellow buses they see every day? Do you have a preschooler about to ride the bus for the first time? Join us for a special school bus storytime! Kids will get to meet a school bus driver, learn how to ride safely, and get a close-up look at what it's like to be a big kid riding to school! Whether they're just curious or have those first-day-of-school jitters, we can help!

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
