Program Description

Event Details

When a flood disaster strikes, should we shake our fist at God or chalk it up to bad luck? Flooding in the Midwest, or in Florida and Bangladesh, is both natural and unnatural. Engineering, landscape change, social power, and climate change all contribute to exacerbated flood risk, as well as other natural disasters. Let’s discuss how we got here, and where we need to go next.

This program will be interpreted in ASL, sponsored by the Forest Brick Fund.
