Learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement while using hands-on tools to help incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Denise Kluever OTR/L, MS, CDP has been an occupational therapist in Iowa for over 41 years in physical rehabilitation and geriatrics. Denise’s special interest is in geriatric dementia and she provided direct OT service and consulted in many Iowa facilities.  Denise was the program director for the occupational therapy assistant program at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa and served as a lab assistant and coordinator for the occupational therapy doctorate program at Drake University. Denise has personal experience as a caregiver to a family member with dementia.
