All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will commence Tuesday, July 5.

Event Details

Celebrate National Poetry Month with our Book Spine Poetry Challenge at the South Side Library! Drop in all day and make a poem using the books in our library! Stack them up and make a book spine poem! When you're finished, show a librarian at the Information Desk your poem and win a small prize!  For youth ages 6-18.
