What is a Bicycle Rodeo? It is an interactive obstacle course where kids can learn about bicycle safety and have a lot of fun!

Join the library staff, DSM Bicycle Collective staff and community volunteers to learn street safety skills, things to be aware of as a cyclist, the importance of helmet safety, how to feel confident on your bikes.

Children can get properly fitted for a new bike helmet, courtesy of Safe Kids Iowa and Blank Children's Hospital.

Bike helmets are while sizes and supplies last. Registrants will be given first choice of helmets. Sizes cannot be guaranteed.

Accompanying Adults

This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop offs will not be permitted.

Children’s Program

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a caregiver over 12 years old.

Outdoor Program

This program is hosted outdoors.
