This event is being held as part of the Des Moines Arts Festival and is being presented in conjunction with the Des Moines Arts Festival and Des Moines Art Center.

Patrick Bringley is the New York Times bestselling author of All the Beauty in the World, a memoir about his decade working as a guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Named one of the best books of the year by the New York Public Library, Financial Times, Audible, and Sunday Times (London), the book has been translated into multiple languages and became a number one bestseller in South Korea.

Bringley starred in an Off-Broadway production of All the Beauty in the World, a solo play he adapted from his book that the Wall Street Journal called "spellbinding." He has spoken at institutions worldwide, including the National Gallery of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and venues in Dubai, London, Oxford, and Seoul.

Featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Guardian, Bringley has appeared on CBS, ABC, Fox, NPR, and the BBC. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and children.
