Build Your Language Skills With Your Library Card
Prepare to explore the world by learning a language from the comfort of your home. Mango Languages, the Des Moines Public Library's free language learning tool, offers instruction in more than 70 languages. There are even courses for people who are learning English as a second language.
Learn at your own pace with lessons that are built around real conversational situations. Each lesson has goals and concepts that build on the lesson that came before, steadily advancing as your knowledge of the language grows. Mango also has a convenient app, making it easy to learn wherever you are.

Creating An Account
To create a Mango account, visit the Mango access page and click "Sign Up." Enter your email, your library card number and PIN, and a password, and then click on the Sign Up button on that page.
After signing up, you'll see a selection of languages. If you don't see the language you want to learn, enter a language in the Find a language search bar, or click See All to see all languages. When you find it, click the language you want to learn. You're now able to start learning a new language!
