The Des Moines Public Library's 2023 Authors Visiting in Des Moines (AViD) series lineup will be announced at 12 PM on Monday, February 13! Check back here or on the library's social media platforms to see which acclaimed authors are coming to DMPL this spring and summer.

Now that you have a Des Moines Public Library card it's time to get started checking out eBooks and audiobooks using the Libby App!

Install the Libby App from your device's app store.

You can also browse eBooks and eAudiobooks on your desktop.

Follow this link to find the Des Moines Public Library, and sign in using your library card number and pin.

Browse our collection and borrow a title! You can borrow up to 10 eBooks or audiobooks at one time. To get started find a title that is available now to get comfortable with the app.

Borrowed titles will appear on your virtual shelf. On the app your shelf will look like the drawing of a stack of books pictured here.

When you are connected to Wi-Fi, your eBooks and audiobooks will download to the app automatically, so you can read or listen to them offline anywhere you go!
