All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will close at 5pm on Wednesday, December 24. All locations will remain closed on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, December 27.

Come meet The Grinch during his visit to Des Moines!

Listen to How the Grinch Stole Christmas and enjoy a fun holiday activity with the whole family. Attendees can enter a drawing to win a four-pack of tickets to the Civic Center performance of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical on December 16*.

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
