All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Program Description

Event Details

During this program we will focus on the basics of watercolor portrait studies. East Side Library watercolor programs are hosted by Library Assistant and artist Ben Hatcher. Basic materials such paint, brushes, and paper are provided. Attendees are welcome to bring their own materials. Registration is required.
