All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Virtual Storytime: Miss Mary and Mr. Jay present a storytime using American Sign Language!

Event Details

 Miss Mary will be joined for this storytime by Mr. Jay.  He is an ASL certified interpreter at Capitol View Elementary in Des Moines.  We will sing, do some rhymes and read a story all with sign language interpretation by Mr. Jay.
