Join DMPL Librarians for a special outdoor family storytime at LSI Global Greens! Engage your brain at storytime and then nourish your body by purchasing* locally grown produce from former refugee farmers.
Can’t make it to storytime? No worries! DMPL will be at the market until 12:30 with summer reading sign-ups, an activity for older kids, and more library info!
*Planning to buy some produce? Make sure to bring cash (small bills preferred).
In the event of inclement weather, storytime will be canceled but DMPL will still be at the market.
LSI Global Greens reconnects former refugee farmers with the land as they build their new life in the U.S. Through Global Greens, farmers access space to grow food, learn more about U.S. agriculture, and start their own business by selling produce at our Farmers’ Market and in their Community Supported Agriculture Program. Visit https://lsiowa.org/refugee/global-greens/ for more information.
This program is hosted outdoors. In case of inclement weather please check back here for updates.
