For our October Book Discussion, we will be trying something new – We give you a genre, you pick the book you want to read!
There are two rules:
- The book needs to fit the topic. (For suggestions, click on the "titles" link below)
- More than one of you can pick the same book, but it should be a book you haven’t read.
What will we be reading in October? Gothic Fiction! What’s Gothic Fiction? Here’s a brief rundown:
- Gothic fiction is a genre that combines elements of horror, romance, and the supernatural, often set in bleak, decaying landscapes, particularly medieval ruins or haunted houses. It's characterized by an atmosphere of mystery, suspense, and terror, and frequently explores themes of death, decay, madness, and the supernatural. Perfect for October, right?
