Join professor Andy Langager for a series on different aspects of the history of photography. Did you know that photo manipulation goes all the way back to the 1840s? This lecture will explore different techniques and reasons why photos are edited, and the ethical implications. This includes art photography, “spirit” photography, photojournalism, propaganda, and AI.

Andy Langager received his B.S. and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. He is a journalism professor at the Ankeny DMACC campus, where advises the student newspaper and has taught History of Photography since 2012.
