Event Details

Monarch butterflies are especially attracted to the nectar of the native Iowa plants outside the Franklin Library. Joel Van Roekel, supervisor of Environmental Education with Des Moines Parks and Recreation, will be catching, tagging, and releasing monarch butterflies between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The public is invited to learn about and participate in this process.
