Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate Knit in Public Day with us. DMPL is sharing our love of knitting, but with a twist. We are sharing our love of crafting! We will have several events going on throughout the day for you to participate in. Come meet other adult crafters and celebrate your love for knitting, crochet, and other arts and crafts!

Our stations will include:

  • yarn graffiti the library's outside planters and benches
  • make recycled book hedgehogs
  • make shrinky dinks- that retro shrinkable plastic craft

The second Saturday of June is World Wide Knit in Public Day! This day has become an annual event when knitters gather around the world to celebrate their love of knitting and to share the craft with others.

Come craft with us and show others what you love! Show off your finished projects, give inspiration to others, learn new things, meet other crafters, and take home craft books with ideas to try at home.

Stop by and see what's happening!
