All DMPL locations are currently serving as Polk County Warming Centers during open hours. DART will be providing free rides to warming centers while the extreme temperature plan is in effect. More information about warming centers can be found on the Polk County website.

Event Details

Vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader Jazzy Ash guides us in a musical exploration through the tradition of Playground Songs and Games. Let’s take a look at the global history of this style of music making, discover what music traditions we all share, and make up some playground songs of our own! 
 
See her perform with her full band - Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards - at the Civic Center the same day at 4:00 pm. Be sure to come an hour early for a FREE Discovery Party in the lobbies.

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
