Curious about the world of herbs but don't know where to start? Join us for Introduction to Herbal Medicine class, facilitated by Sara O'Connell. This session is perfect for beginners and will provide a solid foundation in the basics of herbalism. O'Connell will explain terminology (like tincture, infusion, decoction, etc.) and cover the essential introductory concepts for exploring the traditional uses of herbs. Each participant will walk away with an herbal infused honey of their own creation.

Sara is an Iowa transplant and herbalist who is passionate about sharing her knowledge of herbal medicine and ethical and sustainable wild harvesting with others through classroom instruction and workshops. Her botanical studies began over 15 years ago. Sara studied in Oregon at the Columbines School of Botanical Studies, in the classroom and in the field, learning about physiology, botany, wildcrafting, and ethical and sustainable harvesting.
