All DMPL locations are currently serving as Polk County Warming Centers during open hours. DART will be providing free rides to warming centers while the extreme temperature plan is in effect. More information about warming centers can be found on the Polk County website.

Program Description

Event Details

Join the library and Iowa's Wrongful Conviction Division to learn about incarceration in Iowa and practical tips for supporting and staying in touch with loved ones in prison. We'll talk about the legal process of a criminal case (arrest to prison to parole), accessing information from the Department of Corrections, and making visits, as well as how to navigate the restrictions on books and mail.
