All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Event Details

We are excited to share all about hospice in our Hospice 101 presentation! This presentation will include explaining the purpose of hospice care and the role of each member of the hospice team. We will discuss how hospice supports patients and their caregivers/families through and even after the time of death. We will also identify various advanced directives and how they play a role in healthcare. Throughout the presentation we welcome questions and discussion to help dispel common hospice myths and misunderstandings. We hope you will join us!
