Find out about George Washington Carver's time at Iowa's own Simpson College with archivist Cyd Dyer. Learn about the unique connections between George W. Carver and Simpson College through stories and artifacts housed in The Carver Collection in the college archives. Who is Carver? What did he remember most about his time at Simpson in the 1890s? Why is this collection important? What influence does Carver have today?

Cyd has served as President of the Iowa Library Association, chair of the Iowa Private Academic Libraries (IPAL), and was a 10-year member of the Indianola Community Schools Board of Directors.  She currently serves on the Indianola Public Library Board of Trustees and is certified in Tai Chi.
