Adventure Pass temporarily shut down in 2025

Due to software issues affecting all libraries using the service, the Iowa Adventure Pass program will temporarily shut down in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can still make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. The service will return at a later time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Event Details

The Des Moines Public Library is partnering with the DSM Book Festival's DSM Book Club to cohost its online book discussion. The book being discussed is "The Art of Gathering" by Priya Parker.

The DSM Book Club is an online sharing session designed to showcase Des Moines' favorite reads and get you ready to meet the authors at the March 2021 DSM Book Festival. This club will inspire you with a monthly pick and features an online Zoom book discussion. Each month will feature one book that is connected to The Festival and an individual registration for participation. Haley Lunde, Des Moines Public Librarian, will serve as discussion facilitator.
