Celebrate Pride Month by creating your own mini parade float!

Beginning Monday, June 2, pick up a materials kit at any DMPL location (while supplies last) and design your float however you like. When you're finished, take a photo and submit it to the library using one of the options below by 5 PM on Saturday, June 14.

Submission options:

  • Google account users – Upload your photo using the Google Form link below.

  • No Google account? – Email your photo to LIB-Marketing@dmpl.org.

Email entries must include:

  • Full name

  • Age

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • At least one photo of your float

By entering, you give the Des Moines Public Library permission to share your Pride float photo online. All eligible participants will be entered into a drawing for a prize bag, and selected floats will be featured in our social media photo parade.

Key Dates:
June 2–14 – Pick up a kit and design your float
June 14, 5 PM – Submission deadline
June 23 – Prize winners drawn
