All DMPL locations are currently serving as Polk County Warming Centers during open hours. DART will be providing free rides to warming centers while the extreme temperature plan is in effect. More information about warming centers can be found on the Polk County website.

Program Description

Event Details

Day of the Dead, or El Día de los Muertos, is a traditional Latin American holiday celebrating the lives of loved ones who have passed away.

Tin has been used for traditional Mexican handicrafts and art forms for many centuries. Come to the library and make a traditional sugar skull out of tin!

Children’s Program

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a caregiver over 12 years old.
