All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will close at 5pm on Wednesday, December 24. All locations will remain closed on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, December 27.

Shop for used books, music CDs, and more at Central Library's 2025 Big Book Sale. Some furniture and other items will be available to purchase, too. All proceeds benefit the library.
