The extreme temperature plan has been activated. All DMPL locations are serving as warming centers during open hours. DART is providing free rides to all designated warming centers.

Spooky Stories at Nightfall

Starts at 6:30 PM on Green Space outside Franklin Avenue Library

  • 6:30 PM – Family-friendly program with Maureen Korte
  • Approx. 7:15 PM – Spooky stories for adults and Teens with Denise Franck

Tower Park Activities

  • Puppet Crafts – 10 AM-2 PM
  • Outdoor Games – 10 AM-2 PM
  • Face Painting and Balloon Art – 11:30 AM-1:30 PM
  • Rosie’s Picnic Bilingual Storytime – 12 PM
  • Decorate Rosie Cookies – 12:30 PM
  • Kevin Burt Performance (Central Iowa Blues Society) – 2 PM

While supplies last. In case of rain, activities will be moved to the Franklin Avenue Library. Kevin Burt’s performance will be moved to Franklin Jr. High.
