Ballet Des Moines Community Ticketing Program

Ballet Des Moines Community Ticketing Program

Ballet Des Moines partners with DMPL and the Iowa Library Association

Ballet Des Moines is proud to announce the launch of a new collaboration with the Iowa Library Association and Des Moines Public Library to connect communities and lower barriers for engaging in the arts.

Beginning this season, Ballet Des Moines will offer complimentary tickets to anyone (ages 7 and up) who hold a public library card. Averaging about 1000 tickets per performance, and while supplies last, library card holders will have access to one complimentary ticket for each of the four Ballet Des Moines productions in the 25/26 season.

A NOTE FROM BALLET DES MOINES
Patrons are the lifeblood of any arts organization. Without them, our art has no audience. However you choose to attend our next performance, we are excited for your support, and we cannot wait to share our work with you.

  • Community Tickets (Free): If you would like to join us by requesting a complimentary ticket through our partnership with the Iowa Library Association and Des Moines Public Library, you may do so in person at the Civic Center Box Office or by calling the Civic Center Box Office at 515-246-2300. Please note that this performance is at the Civic Center and their Box Office Hours are Monday-Friday (10am-5pm).  All complimentary community tickets must be requested by Friday, April 10.

  • Full Price Tickets: The intention of our community ticketing program is for those audience members for whom attending the ballet would be a financial barrier. If you can afford to purchase a ticket, please click here to learn more about how to purchase a ticket. Tickets start at just $35.

  • Community Tickets ($10, $15, $20): If you would like to join us by paying something but less than the full price ticket, we encourage you to use this link. By following this link, you will be prompted to reserve a ticket by paying $10, $15, or $20 per ticket. Ballet Des Moines sustains our organization through ticket sales, and every little bit helps. Please consider selecting a Community Discount Ticket.

HOW IT WORKS:

Present your library card (or DMPS student ID card) to the performance venue box office during the specified selection timeframes, generally a few weeks before the performances, select your seat and you’re all set! Each library card will be able to reserve one ticket.

CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE BOX OFFICE?

Have your library card handy and call the Des Moines Civic Center Box Office at 515-246-2300 to redeem your complimentary tickets.

Ticket Reservation Dates

Complimentary tickets will be available at the box office during the designated time slots below. Tickets are only available while supplies last.

  • Cinderella, March 17-May 8

Due to the high volume of tickets facilitated during the night of the performance, venues will NOT be able to accommodate library card holder requests the night of the show.
