Ballet Des Moines is proud to announce the launch of a new collaboration with the Iowa Library Association and Des Moines Public Library to connect communities and lower barriers for engaging in the arts.
Beginning this season, Ballet Des Moines will offer complimentary tickets to anyone (ages 7 and up) who hold a public library card. Averaging about 1000 tickets per performance, and while supplies last, library card holders will have access to one complimentary ticket for each of the four Ballet Des Moines productions in the 25/26 season.
How it works:
Present your library card (or DMPS student ID card) to the performance venue box office during the specified selection timeframes, generally a few weeks before the performances, select your seat and you’re all set! Each library card will be able to reserve one ticket.

Complimentary tickets will be available at the box office during the designated time slots below. Tickets are only available while supplies last.
- Forward, September 3-September 19
- The Nutcracker, October 27-December 5 (ALL TICKETS CLAIMED)
- Nothing Holds Still, January 13-February 20
- Cinderella, April 3-May 8
Due to the high volume of tickets facilitated during the night of the performance, venues will NOT be able to accommodate library card holder requests the night of the show.

This initiative is managed by Ballet Des Moines in partnership with the Iowa Library Association and Des Moines Public Library, with support from Hoyt Sherman Place and Des Moines Performing Arts.
