Kick off the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge with an afternoon of fun for youth of all ages!
Littles
- Live musical performance with Mister K’s Clubhouse (1:30-2 PM)
- Enjoy open play and crafts inspired by Simple Steps!
Kids
- Make your own slime and 3D art!
- Play fun games and win prizes!
Teens
- Comics workshop with Basi Affia of Sensi’il Studios (1-3 PM)
- Play Switch games and create manga-inspired art
No matter what age you are, don't skip the photo ops with magical princesses, awesome superheroes, and our favorite community mascots!
But that's not all: this is the Summer Reading Kick-off, after all. Youth ages 0-18 can register for Summer Reading and get a free book with a special Summer Reading Kick-off bag!

Central Parking
Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
Children’s Program
Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a caregiver over 12 years old.
