  once stood on this spot.\r\nLisa (Elm) Taber, a graduate of Drake Univers
 ity with a major in history, while researching information for a novel, ca
 me across David Wiggins' "The Fall of Old Des Moines U". Th
 ere wasn't much online, so she has been blogging and collecting infor
 mation about the college ever since. Lisa is a member of the Des Moines Hi
 storical Society. Join us as she shares her research on the histories of H
 ighland Park College,  Des Moines University, and Alfred Lawson’s Des M
