It's almost spring - so let's squeeze the day with our Take & Bake: Lemon Bars program!
Registrants will receive a FREE bag with (almost) all the supplies needed to make an 8x8 pan of lemon bars. The ingredients provided are: sugar, flour, lemons, and powdered sugar. Participants will need to supply an 8x8 inch pan, butter, vanilla extract, eggs, and a pinch of salt. If you have allergies, please note that all ingredients were measured and packaged in the same kitchen. The ingredients were prepared by a food service business, Easton's Food Truck, that follows all Iowa Health Code requirements.
The bags will be available for pickup at Central Library's Pickup Window during curbside hours from March 1st - March 8th. Please note that you can register early, but you won't be able to pick up your lemon bar kit until MARCH 1st. We want our ingredients to be fresh!
Registration is required to receive a kit. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the link and password to the Zoom program. This link is how we will get together to learn how to make lemon bars! Easton, from Easton's Food Truck, and DMPL Librarian, Haley, will be showing step by step how to make lemon bars.
Library staff will monitor the chat and will pass those questions along from the chat. Disruptive or disrespectful comments in the chat may result in removal from the program.
