Program Description

Event Details

It's apple season and the perfect time to do some baking. So join us online for Take & Bake: Apple Crisp at home!

Registrants will receive a FREE bag with all the supplies needed to make an 8x8 apple crisp at home. The ingredients are: apples, flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, old fashioned oat meal, and cinnamon. Participants will need to supply 1 stick of butter. Haley usually uses a splash of vanilla in the topping too which isn't included!

If you have allergies, please note that all ingredients were measured and packaged in the same kitchen. The ingredients were prepared by a food service business, Easton's Food Truck, that follows all Iowa Health Code requirements.

The bags will be available for pickup at Central Library's Pickup Window during curbside hours from October 13 - October 20.

Registration is required to receive an apple crisp bag. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the link and password to the Zoom program. This link is how we will get together to learn how to make apple crisp! Easton, from Easton's Food Truck, and DMPL Librarian, Haley, will be showing how to properly cut apples, mix ingredients and what the end result should look like.

Library staff will monitor the chat and will pass those questions along from the chat. Disruptive or disrespectful comments in the chat may result in removal from the program.
