Event Details

Join us over the lunch hour to meet Sam Gabriel, Founder and Executive Director of the Genesis Youth Foundation, and hear why he is committed to improving the lives of underserved children in central Iowa by providing them with life skills and transformative experiences using sports and performing arts.  You'll hear the “spark story” that motivated Sam to make the Des Moines Metro a better place to live.

The program takes place between 12:15-12:45, with unstructured networking time (or built-in lunch-hour commute time if you need it!) at the beginning and end of the hour.  Feel free to bring your own lunch.

Also, don’t forget to mark your calendar for future Spark Stories lunches, from 12-1 on the second or third Wednesday of each month.

The library makes every effort to ensure our programs can be enjoyed by all. If you have any concerns about accessibility or need to request specific accommodations, please contact the library.

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
