Program Description

Event Details

Take your ukulele skills to the next level with instructor Natalie Steenson. In this 4 week intermediate ukulele class, we will:

•Get comfortable with 15 of the most common chords (in the keys of C, G, F and D), including barre chords

•Learn songs in each “key”

•Explore new strumming patterns and techniques, such as the “Island strum” and “chunking”

•Learn several fingerpicking patterns

•Practice C, F and G scales

•Read melody and chord tablature 

 

Classes will be online via Zoom. Space is limited and registration is required. Soprano ukuleles are available to checkout from the library while supplies last.

Ukuleles can be checked out starting the week of December 19 at the North Side Library. Ukuleles must be picked up at and returned to the North Side Library branch.
