July 4 closure

All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will commence Tuesday, July 5.

The Franklin Avenue Library pickup window is closed until further notice. If you are scheduled to pick up your holds at the window, please go inside Franklin Avenue Library to do so.

Event Details

Join the library for a zine afternoon! Read some queer zines; make one yourself or with friends and run off a couple copies to share. We'll have supplies, prompts and ideas, hydration, pronoun buttons, and company. Drop by anytime from 2:00 to 4:00 and stay as long as you like.

While anyone may attend, this event and our sample zines are geared toward adults.

*In case of inclement weather, this program will move to our meeting room.
