Anna Slavina, a PhD in Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University, will discuss things consumers should know about how their data are being collected and used. She will relate ways digital media companies use to exploit cognitive shortcuts to influence consumer behavior and how we can be more mindful of our technology usage.
