The US Census Bureau in conjunction with the Des Moines Complete Count Committee is hosting a series of events where community members can learn about the history and the importance of the Decennial Census. Every 10 years the Constitution mandates a count of every person in the United States. As we prepare for this fundamental democratic event, come and learn how this count will affect you, your community and your city for the decade to come. They will discuss the security of your information and how to participate. Census staff will be in attendance to answer questions and Spanish translators will be available.
