Program Description

Event Details

Welcome to Central Library’s new series, featuring Iowa authors talking about their books and their experiences as writers!

Rachel Mans McKenny is a writer and humorist recently published in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Elle Magazine, Electric Lit, The Rumpus, and The New York Times. She also co-hosts the literary matchmaking podcast Blind Date with a Book.

The Butterfly Effect is her first novel and was selected as the All Iowa Reads adult book for 2022. A Man Called Ove meets The Rosie Project in this tale of a grumpy introvert, her astonishing lack of social skills and empirical data-driven approach to people and relationships.

This event will be hosted live at the Central Library and livestreamed on Zoom.  Please register below if you'd like the Zoom link.
