Hello! Celebrate the New Year at the library this year. All branches will be closed tomorrow, January 1, to celebrate the New Year. We will reopen as scheduled on Wednesday, January 2. This week, we have movies, crafts, and games to keep you busy! Storytimes are back on as scheduled, except for at Central, where the storytime break continues until next Monday, January 7.

Enjoy your favorite blockheads during a New Year’s Eve movie marathon. We’ll start with The Lego Ninjago Movie at 10:00 AM; The Lego Batman Movie at 12:00 PM; and The Lego Movie at 2:00 PM. We’ll bring out LEGOs to play with, and our LEGO books will be on display to read and check out!

Students ages 12-18 may volunteer at the South Side Library performing various tasks. This is a great way to earn volunteer hours! All students must submit a teen volunteer application and waiver and have it signed by a parent/guardian. Applications can be picked up at the South Side Library's Info Desk.
